Heading Towards a Sustainable Business Model?
The focus of the Annual Conference 2013 of the IÖW was on new business models and their legislative frameworks with regard to sustainable development. Workshop 3 dealt with the expansion of renewable energies, which is mainly backed by new actors in the energy market and their new business models. New legal frameworks made this possible as for example the EEG. At the moment citizens, cooperatives, farmers and regional energy businesses are the main conducive component in the German energy transition. Now the EEG will be reformed. Together with the experts the participants discussed what the changing landscape in the energy economy means for economic development.
