Doctorate of Economic Science, M. Sc. Environmental Management
From biodiversity to urban and rural water management: Daniel Johnson values ecosystem services and thus makes visible the social benefits that nature provides.
The economist repeatedly bridges the gap between environmental economics and environmental policy: using empirical methods, he examines which ecosystem services are particularly important to the population and derives recommendations for politicians. In doing so, he draws attention to nature-based solutions for climate adaptation – such as green roofs – and develops innovative ways to promote them.
