M. Sc. Industrial Engineering and Management – Energy and Resource Management

How can digitalization be used sustainably for the energy transition? And what potential do innovative, technical solutions have at the interface between agriculture and the energy transition? These questions are central to the research work of industrial engineer Hannes Bluhm at the IÖW. He uses a broad set of economic and environmental science methods such as profitability and business model analyses and life cycle assessments. In the junior research group SteuerBoard Energie, he is currently working on his doctorate on the environmental impact of digitalization in the energy sector.
