Leo Töpperwein is driven by the question of how we can become less dependent on fossil resources and achieve a sustainable way of life. As a student assistant at the IÖW, he’s involved in projects like developing a bioeconomy strategy for Brandenburg and the Landgewinn project. In these roles, he supports the research team in organizing and evaluating participation processes in which goals and actions are discussed.
The Master's student is dedicating his final thesis in "Integrated Natural Resource Management" to the question of how microalgae can ease pressure on farmland and replace fossil resources in the future.
