Janis Bergmann works on and manages projects in the field of heating transition at the interface of sustainability and social justice. His focus is on the economic evaluation of heat supply concepts and energy renovation measures, as well as the associated socio-economic effects.

In projects such as Suburban Heat Shift 2, the industrial engineer develops concepts to make the heat transition socially acceptable and examines the necessary regulatory framework and political measures.
