Tobias Möllney

Researcher

M. Sc. Environmental and Resource Economics

Urban greenery works, a fact well known to Tobias Möllney. He measures its positive effects on people and for the environment in his research at the IÖW. His focus especially lies on the value of urban green oases for city dwellers: from parks and gardens to green roofs and façades.

The environmental economist is particularly interested in the spatial analysis and presentation of these services. His ideal instrument: the urban green valuation tool developed at the IÖW, which he tailored to Bremen in the BREsilient II project and is now developing further in the project Value of Green Urban Spaces III.
