Berlin's Senate has set the agenda for transforming Germany's capital towards climate-neutrality until 2050. The Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW) has already been involved in the feasibility study "Climate-neutral Berlin 2050" which investigated if and how this goal could be accomplished. In this follow-up project, specific strategies are being developed for five action fields: energy supply, building and urban development, business sector, private households and consumption as well as transport. A central feature of the project is its broad participatory process in which both the professional and interested public are involved. This process is being steered by the IFOK GmbH.
